May 2023 Update

Uganda here we come…

After a 3 year gap, we are very excited to announce that our flights are now booked to go back to Kiyindi for September, we have missed our friends over there so, so much.

We would love to take people with us for this exciting short term mission experience…

We are going for 3 weeks leaving on 28th August and will arrive home on 19th September. For those who can only do 2 weeks, we need to just make sure that you travel
together as Kiyindi is about 80 miles from the airport. You’ll love it – but just be warned, you will never be the same again, & you will leave a bit of your heart there. It will be a jam-packed time with opportunity to minister the gospel to both adults &/or children, visit our school & medical centre, & take a trip to at least one of the islands on Lake Victoria where the people still live in mud huts… There will be a 3 day women’s conference as well as a general conference, possibly some door to door evangelism… And during the last week, there is the possibility of a day at the Safari Park. We stay with the people, but don’t worry… we have the luxury of a newly fitted ’real’ toilet and even would you believe… a shower! You will need to raise your own money to cover flight & all expenses.

If you are interested, but can’t go yourself, we will value your prayers & support… And why not help someone else with the finances to go?

Mini Revival…

Gerry’s desire to visit Uganda came a little earlier when he had a surprise invitation to be the speaker at a conference in Kampala (the capital) in April.

And what a conference it turned out to be… On day one an elderly crippled man was miraculously healed & from then on wouldn’t stop dancing , which stirred up faith for many others to be healed and saved.

The Lord moved with powerful signs & wonders, stirring up a mini Revival with many salvations.
Following the conference, he was then able to go on to Kiyindi to see the progress on the work there & to check up on the twins.

Update on the twins…

For those who have been following the story of the 2 sets of twins who were seriously mal-nourished after their father was jailed for fishing—Take a look now… Wow, what an improvement! The 1st picture is Wasswa Soweeti one of the 13 month twins when we first heard of their plight, weighing just 3.2kg & dying… The 3rd picture is as he is now. So much better. Still a way to go, and we will need to continue supporting the family for some time yet. The 2nd picture is both sets of twins with their mother with some of the supplies You have enabled us to give. Thank you to all who have loved & are helping with the on-going support and medical care for this family & others, … and thank you Jesus. Lives have literally been saved here…
